Breath hold training is a powerful tool to increase resiliency, lower stress, improve focus and boost athletic performance. When we hold our breath we learn to deal with internal stress triggers. Because the body’s number one goal is survival, and therefore respiration, breath holds can quickly send us into a fight or flight response. What happens when we get pushed into this space? Do we completely collapse under the weight of stress, do we panic, or do we stay calm in the chaos? The breath hold protocols we use at Symmetry allow our clients to gradually build confidence in their ability to handle the stresses of life.
